Poker Tables

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Sometimes you need to get out there and see where your game is at these days.  Too many people think they’re the best, when in fact they really suck.  I’ve seen it over and over again where people bring a crappy personality to the table thinking they are better then everyone only to find themselves reloading every couple of hours.

Take a chance the next time you play.  Make a move you don’t usually play and see if it would have worked.  Of course sometimes you will run into a wall, but let yourself loosen up a bit.  This may bring monster pots when you have crushing hands.  I’m not saying make a monster re-raise with rags, I’m talking about playing a strong draw with a little more force than you usually do.  Give yourself a bigger range.  You never know, you may find the missing link in your game.

You also want to pay attention to those players that are real tight and keep attacking them until they fight back.  When they do fight back and you have a monster you will get all of their chips.  The poker tables are meant to be played out.  They aren’t there for social biscuit hour.  You are there to make some money.

When it comes to picking a room with a lot of action Pokerstars.net is one room that has so many players, you will always find the game and stakes you want to play.  Just remember open your game up a little to see if it helps you out.  Do this on several occasions too rule out any possible bad beat scenarios.
